I am pleased to inform you that on July 1, 2025, Hungary took over the presidency of the Visegrád Group from Poland, a role it will fulfil for one year, until June 30, 2026, and then pass it on to Slovakia.

Speaker-level meetings

The Czech Parliament, which holds the Presidency of the Visegrád Group from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024, organized the meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments of the V4 countries and Ukraine in Prague on 28-29 February 2024. The event was hosted by Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, and Miloš Vystrčil, President of the Czech Senate. The Hungarian National Assembly was represented by Csaba Hende, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, the Slovak National Council by Peter Pellegrini, Speaker, while the Polish Parliament by Szymon Hołowni, Marshal of the Sejm and Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Marshal of the Senate.

Committee-level meetings


​​​​​​​The Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Czech Republic, which holds the Presidency of the Visegrád Group from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024, jointly organised a meeting for the Defence and Security Committees of the Parliaments of the Visegrád countries on 28- 29 April 2024 in Prague.

Programme of the Hungarian V4 presidency

Hungary holds the presidency of the Visegrád Group (V4) from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. The main goal of the Hungarian V4 presidency is to improve the competitiveness of the region, to stimulate growth with the motto "Competitive Visegrád".
